Do you have a question you would like to ask us? Perhaps we can answer it for you, checkout our FAQ’s below. If you still have something that needs answering, don’t wait get in touch.
Building a great working relationship starts by asking the right questions, listening carefully, exploring fully. We want to understand your needs, challenges and goals. And we need your thoughts on how you would like to engage us. Now is the time to talk about it.
Right up front, we’ll want to look at the technology you’re using. Or not using! We’ll assess where you’re at, what changes you might wish to make, what additions you could take on board. Whatever the case, we can train you and your team to make technology work in the most efficient way.
Not hard at all. Once we have agreed on a plan that’s right for you, we’ll complete AML and get you to sign a Letter of Engagement which sets out our terms and conditions. Then we’ll contact your existing accountant and organise the smooth transfer of any information. It is nice to end on a good note with your prior accountant so we do encourage you to let them know you are moving on however, we understand that sometimes this is not possible so in need can action the transfer and take care of everything for you.
As a client at Simple Strategies you will have access to award-winning Xero software as part of your package. This software is based in the cloud so you can access it anywhere, anytime from any device with a web browser. We believe it is priced perfectly and caters well to businesses small and large without breaking the bank.
Absolutely. We offer a tax management reminder service as part of our fee at no extra charge. We’ll write to you to let you know when payments are due with plenty of time to spare. If you need help planning in advance for these, just let us know.
We’re not just accountants and have a huge range of other services on offer including business consultancy and strategic planning. Unlike most professional service providers, we don’t always bill by the hour – it just encourages inefficiency. Before we start a job, we’ll give you an estimate of our fee. Once we start the job, if we find there is more to it than originally thought we’ll endeavour to tell you, so you don’t end up with a nasty surprise. Our clients like it that way. We will also always explain fully on our invoices what work your fee covers.
Never. We love to hear from our clients! If your enquiry does requires some extra work, we’ll give you an estimate of what costs you might incur.
Yes you can pay monthly if this helps with cashflow, we can estimate your fee and let you know roughly what you should be paying. All monthly payments can be paid via monthly automatic payment or credit card to make it as easy for you as possible.
We have a great relationship with Tax Management NZ, and often recommend the use of Tax Pooling as a way to manage those tax payments when there is not quite enough in the bank at tax time. We can also assist with making arrangements with Inland Revenue, if it is all just getting a bit too much.
We aim to be fully transparent about our fee structure. We do review our fees in March each year, which is good business practice, we encourage you to so the same. And when we increase our fees, we will advise you in writing at least 30 days ahead of time to make sure there are no surprises. From time to time our software providers also increase their fees, we will keep you fully informed of this and let you know when things change.
